LIT hits 10,000+ Community Service Hours

Community empowerment is an important tenet at Leaders in Training. During Year 1 and Year 2 students volunteering monthly throughout the community to gain a love and appreciation of Southern Nevada, internalize the opportunities they do have and empower them to be actual leaders right now in their communities. Year 3 students choose a social justice issue area they most want to impact and create a year-long Vision for Social Justice project. As of this month, since 2012 students have collectively given over 10,000+ hours of community service to southern Nevada with all hours tracked and verified by the United Way of Southern Nevada. We are empowering students to make a difference now and commit to being future change-makers in society. We had a great time this past weekend support Aid for AIDS Nevada pictured here.
